An Anti-Racist Approach to Texts in ELA Classrooms

Leah Araya and Dr. Henry “Cody” Miller examined how to approach commonly taught skills in secondary English language arts classrooms through an anti-racist lens in a presentation at the 2022 Greater Rochester Antiracist Education Conference.

Ms. Leah Araya (graduate student, English education) and Dr. Henry “Cody” Miller (assistant professor of English education) presented at the 2022 Greater Rochester Antiracist Education Conference this past weekend.

Their presentation, “An Anti-racist Approach to Texts in ELA Classrooms” examined how to approach commonly taught skills in secondary English language arts classrooms through an anti-racist lens.
