Camp Abilities Receives Funding from Theresa Foundation
Camp Abilities and Dr. Lauren Lieberman, Founder and Director, received $3,840 in funding from the Theresa Foundation to provide all campers with sneakers in honor of Camp Abilities’ 25th Anniversary.
The sneakers to be provided to campers will assist them in enjoying one of the camp’s newest sports, hiking, and other outdoor camp activities. The campers will take the sneakers home after camp to enjoy outdoor activities with their entire families.
Providing activities that students with visual impairments and blindness can enjoy with their families encourages more physical activity year-round for campers and their families.
The grant will be administered by The Research Foundation for SUNY at Brockport.
