Director of Financial Aid Presents at National Conference
Dr. Kimberley Willis presented at the 2022 Leadership and Legislative Conference and Expo. The conference was held in Washington, DC from February 14 - 16.
Dr. Willis was selected as one of seven individuals from a national call for volunteers to be part of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Service’s Succession Planning Pathway task force. This was the first year of this subject track, and it had 40 attendees. The conference is an annual Leadership and Legislative Conference and was attended by more than 400 people. Dr. Willis not only contributed to the planning of these sessions, but she was also a presenter.
This session concentrated on the concepts of succession planning and ensured the essentials on how to build a plan were included. This session featured both general guidelines to get started and real operational steps to make this important process successful at an institution. The discussion included making hiring a consideration and identifying your successor.
