Alumni Profile: Bill Giese

Hear from alum Bill Giese ’16, BFA Art/Sculpture about his time at SUNY Brockport and his career path since graduation.
Tell us about your experience at Brockport.
I graduated from The College at Brockport in 2016 with a degree in Fine Arts focusing in Sculpture. The devoted attention to my success in the arts was a clear goal of the faculty. I was taught how to use creativity to solve problems in order to bring my concepts into the material world. I graduated with a strong understanding of material and process because of the versatility and breadth of the program and its faculty. My advisors were there for me at every step of the way and I am lucky to still consider them mentors as well as friends today.
Where do you currently work?
I am currently the Operation and Programs Manager at the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum at Alfred University and I owe my success thus far to the art department at the College at Brockport.
