Building Fire Alarm Inspections

Johnson Controls will be conducting building fire alarm inspections for academic and administrative buildings starting on Wednesday, January 8, with a projected ending date of Friday, January 17. They will also be entering all rooms in which there is a fire alarm device. The technicians will be wearing their company badge and uniform.

During the inspection, the building alarm will be activated. The length of time it sounds will vary by building. This part of the inspection will be taking place before 9 am in order to minimize disruption.

We have checked the EMS for special events that may be occurring in the following buildings: Cooper Hall, Hartwell Hall, Liberal Arts Building, Seymour College Union, and Tower Fine Arts Center, Tuttle/SERC Complex, and will be scheduling these buildings to avoid these events. If you have an event in any other building, or you have an event that has not been added to the EMS, please contact the Facilities Service Center immediately with the details at (585) 395-2408.
