New Program: Childhood Inclusive Education (MSEd)
Applications are now open for our new MSEd in Childhood Inclusive Education starting Fall 2022. The degree leads to dual NYS teacher certification in grades 1-6 (Childhood 1-6 and Students with Disabilities 1-6) and is available to students with a wide range of undergraduate degrees.
Our MSEd in Childhood Inclusive Education is the first graduate initial-certification program Brockport has offered for childhood educators in over 20 years and is intended to be broadly accessible for candidates from a wide range of backgrounds (including career changers). Courses will be offered in the afternoons and evenings, and online, with the intent to include working and caretaking adults as much as possible. The course will be offered in a hybrid format (50% online/50% in person courses)
The new program is also intended to help alleviate Monroe County and New York State teacher shortages - already being felt in 2022 and projected to continue for many years.
