Joint Planning & Budget Committee Update

JPBC met once during the month of November and received multiple presentations. The next meeting is scheduled for December 16, 2021.

The Joint Planning and Budget Committee (JPBC) is a presidential advisory committee representing the college community. It serves as the institutional oversight body to ensure that institutional goals and division level planning and budgeting are interlinked and informed by assessment to advance the strategic goals and priorities established in Building a Better Brockport, the strategic plan for the College. The committee meets on select Thursdays from 8:30-10:30 am throughout the academic year. Meetings are open and the SUNY Brockport community is encouraged to attend. Also, each month activities of the committee will be shared by way of the Daily Eagle.

Due to various holidays, JPBC met only one time in November. During this meeting, the Campus Based Fee Review Committee provided its annual update, an update on academic strategic planning was provided by Provost Delene, and Goal Group 1 presented an update including its budget prioritization requests. Work continues on the assembly of committee members for the approved Instructional Technology and Classroom Renovation (ITCR) subcommittee whose work is to commence early in the spring semester.

The final JPBC meeting for the fall semester will take place on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Teams at 8:30 am. The Teams link will be provided in the Daily Eagle in the days preceding the meeting.
