Dr. Jennifer Ramsay and Dr. Rozenn Bailleul-LeSuer present their research at the American Schools of Oriental Research in Chicago, Illinois from November 18-20.

Dr. Ramsay presented in a session on Environmental Archaeology of the Ancient Near East, titled ‘Byzantine Plants: An Archaeobotanical Study of the Agricultural Economy of Caesarea Maritima, Israel.’ Dr. Bailleul-LeSuer presented in ‘Thinking, Speaking and Representing Animals in the Ancient Near East: New Perspectives from Texts and Images’ a talk titled, ‘”Mere” Things or Sentient Beings? The Legal Status of Animals in Ancient Egyptian Society’.
