Feldman LGBTQ Paper Award Winners

The winners of the Douglas A. Feldman LGBTQ Paper Award for the 2020-2021 academic year have been announced.
The winners were recently awarded checks for $1000(first) and $100 (second), respectively. The award winners are:
- Madison Heacock (first place) for the paper entitled, “Identity Politics and Judith Butler’s Gender Trouble”
- Grace Hall (second place) for the paper entitled, “Sexuality in Young Adult Literature.” The winners were recently awarded checks for $,1000 and $100, respectively.
Douglas A. Feldman (1947-2020), Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology, established this annual award competition in 2014 to create a campus climate that affirms human dignity, individual rights, civility, mutual respect, and academic freedom. Paper submissions are evaluated by a committee of Brockport and non-Brockport faculty from Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies.
