Structural Constraints & School Choice Strategies of Black American Middle-Class Parents
Professor Elliot B. Weininger (Department of Sociology) published a co-authored article in British Journal of Sociology of Education, entitled “Structural Constraints and the School Choice Strategies of Black American Middle-Class Parents.”
The article uses both qualitative and quantitative data to examine the challenges that middle-class black parents confront in realizing their educational preferences for their children, and the strategies they adopt in response to these challenges.
