Alum Steve Lewine’s Major Gift Advances Global Engagement Opportunities

The Lewine Global Engagement Fund will be used to enhance SUNY Brockport’s efforts to build a generation of leaders and innovators who have a deep understanding of other cultures through international experiences and global engagement.
Steve Lewine ’80 returned to Brockport for the first time in 40 years on September 27, 2021, to announce the Lewine Family has committed to a gift of $300,000 to support a new collaborative, campus-wide fund to support global engagement initiatives.
Lewine Global Engagement Fund
The Lewine Global Engagement Fund will be used to enhance SUNY Brockport’s efforts to build a generation of leaders and innovators who have a deep understanding of other cultures through international experiences and global engagement. The Lewine Family has committed to a gift of $300,000 over the next five years. The funds will be used to support the following areas:
- Global Business Leadership Program
- Global Education and Engagement Scholarships
- Outstanding Global Engagement Awards - in recognition of both Dr. Victor Rojas and in memory of Dr. Francisco Zayas.
