EXPLORE BROCKPORT: Joe’s Fright Farm
Each month The Port staff will venture into our surrounding community to explore all that Brockport has to offer. We’ll reveal some hidden gems and share the story behind some well-known favorites.
You’ll find Joe’s Farm a few miles south of campus at 650 White Rd. When visiting, most days you’ll encounter a stand that offers fresh market vegetables, fresh cut flowers, and bundles of firewood.
But if you visit on a Friday or Saturday in October, you’ll likely experience something you won’t soon forget. That’s because each of those evenings, owner “Farmer Joe” McCracken converts Joe’s Farm into Joe’s Fright Farm — a haunted attraction that was voted as one of New York’s top five must-see haunts by TheScareFactor.com in 2019.
After being sufficiently spooked by the haunted attraction, visitors can enjoy a concession stand stocked with fall treats, watch horror films on an outdoor projector, play some lawn games, and get warm by a fire pit.
If getting spooked isn’t your thing, swing by on the weekends to navigate Farmer Joe’s corn maze between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm.
