Our Country’s Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker

When the first ships arrived in Australia in the late 1780s, they were carrying felons and murders and prostitutes, sent to newly established penal colonies Down Under. An officer discovers that the inmates regard the hangings of prisoner hangings as entertainment and he becomes determined to produce Australia’s first theatrical performances. As with any rehearsals for a play, this production is not without its drama, romance, and a bunch of hammy actors.
All performances in the Tower Fine Arts Center Mainstage, unless otherwise noted.
Ticket prices: $17, $12 (Senior Citizens, Brockport Alumni, Faculty, and Staff), or $9 (Students), unless otherwise noted.
