Free Shakespeare in the Park Returns to Rochester
A 25-year tradition returns as the Rochester Community Players presents The Tempest in Highland Park Bowl produced by Michael C. Krickmire (Lecturer of Theatre and Music Studies).
The Tempest will be performed in a blended production of ASL and spoken language with two actors simultaneously portraying each character. After early summer rehearsals on the Campus of RIT/NTID the actors and crew (some of whom are SUNY Brockport Theatre grads) are ready to take the stage at Highland Park Bowl for a series of evening performances that opened on July 9 and continued July 16 through the 25.
Performances begin at 8 pm each evening with no shows on Mondays or Tuesdays. The performances are free and donations are encouraged. Bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic snacks and enjoy a summer evening in the park with William Shakespeare.
