SUNY Brockport Professors Across Multiple Departments Publish Manuscript

The manuscript was titled “Interventions for quality of life and related outcomes among unpaid caregivers of older adults with visual impairments: A scoping review.”

Dr. Afeez Hazzan (Assistant Professor in Healthcare Studies), Dr. Pamela Haibach-Beach (Associate Director Honors College and Professor in KSSPE), Dr. Lauren Lieberman (Distinguished Service Professor in KSSPE), and Jamia Williams (Health Sciences Librarian) co-authored a manuscript titled “Interventions for quality of life and related outcomes among unpaid caregivers of older adults with visual impairments: A scoping review.”

The manuscript was published in the British Journal of Visual Impairment (BJVI).  The purpose of the study was to examine issues of quality of life, health, stress, burden, and barriers among unpaid caregivers of older adults with visual impairments. This was one of the first reviews focusing on quality-of-life issues among unpaid caregivers of older adults with visual impairments.
