SUNY Brockport’s Online RN-BSN Program Ranked #1 in New York and #6 Nationally

The RN to BSN program actively has 395 students and admits about 230 students each year. Many of the students work and carry family obligations, which is why flexibility is key to the program’s success, she explained. The program consists of two tracks, a part-time track, that attracts full time working nurses as well as students who are paying out of pocket, or a full-time accelerated program, which students complete in 12 months.
“The flexibility of the program can work with any schedule and since it is 100% asynchronous online, students do not need to come to campus or adjust their work schedule to attend classes,” Smalls said.
But the program’s ongoing success can be directly related to the hard work of Brockport’s faculty who attend professional development for best teaching practices and are certified nurse educators (CNE) with an expertise in nursing curriculum.
“I believe that the rigor we use to organize and build our courses across the program is clearly evident to students and they feel that they are graduating with a BSN degree that is truly well earned,” Smalls added.
